A Vision For 2013

I am not fond of the perennial list of January resolutions.  In the past, I have been guilty of having such lofty expectations that became short-lived and left me feeling deflated and discouraged. And then I just stopped making resolutions. So this year, I am creating a vision. One that isn't so much a destination or a goal, but a direction that is fluid, flexible and might have me meandering on a different path than I originally planned.  Here's some of my inspiration:

#1 I loved Sunset Magazine's article entitled Reboot Your Work Week.

While I may not be able to go for a morning swim in the bay, I can find ways to lengthen and enjoy my mornings and create a feeling of weeknight zen. I don't have to resent the mid-week rush of responsibilities. And I am confident that Monday mornings don't have to be so challenging.

#2 Coastal Living's article on 15 Healthy Dinners is another source of inspiration.

No rigid diet goals here. Just healthy, organic ingredients and a desire to experiment with new recipes.

#3 Better Homes and Gardens' article on organizing paper in your home is one of many great resources for creating structure and order.

Having an uncluttered and organized home will ultimately make #1 and #2 more enjoyable too.  What's your vision for 2013?

I'm wishing you a happy, healthy year ahead!
