Lightweight summer scarves are so effortless, airy and beautiful. I sometimes feel claustrophobic with a heavy scarf especially if it is tightly wrapped around my neck but enjoy the feel of the lighter summer version. And I appreciate the warmth on cool summer evenings. They make a wonderful accessory too. I often tie one on the handle of my purse for a pop of colour. I found an amazing video from Wendy's Lookbook detailing many ways to wear a scarf.
I created an inspiration board a little while ago which has continued to grow over the months. It's not a fashion or design board, but an inspiration board for life. My intention is to flow with each and every day, to be in the moment, to be connected to life, to trust in my own truth and the universe, to live in joy, and to create. I have been adding and swapping images whenever the feeling moves me. It is quite a meaningful project that has stirred up my creative energy!
I framed some natural fabric and added a ribbon border. My images are secured with push pins.
I like the idea of eliminating the need for push pins with criss-cross ribbon to hold images in place. This is definitely on my list of DIYs to try.
We spent the day tearing down really (really!) bad wallpaper from the first room we are reno-ing and the walls behind were painted pale pink. So while the pink walls are definitely screaming for a makeover, the colour made me think of the gorgeous pink sands in Bermuda. Perhaps the glass of Beach House sauv blanc helped transport me.

I picked up a pretty starfish pendant to send to my BFF for her birthday. She moved to South Carolina a couple of years ago so sending this gift was symbolic. The starfish is a celestial symbol that represents abundance, guidance, renewal, brilliance, vigilance, intuition, spiritual truth and infinite divine love - definitely all that you would wish for a good friend.
